I received a telephone call on the Thursday to ask if I could take up one of two places at this conference which had been fully paid but the two ladies were now unable to attend.   I had recently had a very bad fall down a flight of stairs and had broken my wrist in two places, damaged the ligaments in my knee, damaged my breastbone and cracked a rib, so it seemed physically impossible to be able to accept this wonderful opportunity.   However God had other plans for me.
On the Friday my friend Christine and I felt we really should go.   Our friend Margaret kindly drove us there equipped with walking stick, cushions, painkillers, etc. that was required for me to endure the weekend.   At this point I was at my very lowest, physically, emotionally and spiritually and was depending on God holding onto me.
During the Friday night meeting God dealt with my emotions and amidst floods of tears He touched me deeply.
On the Saturday morning during the Praise and Worship time I felt God touching me physically and knew He was going to do a work of healing in my whole being.   Later when Pastor Hazel said “If you want God to do something for you - you have to move out and take the first step” I knew God was speaking to me so in a very clumsy manner I managed into the side isle for ministry.
During Saturday afternoon I was again aware of God’s healing hand upon me  and was able to stand and walk around a little without having to use my stick.   Whilst walking to the accommodation block I said “Lord I want to be able to walk back over the Parade Ground tonight without my stick.”   How we rejoiced when He enabled me to do just that on the way back over to the evening meeting.
In the Saturday evening meeting I said to Christine “I’m not going to be content with a partial healing I’m asking God for a complete healing that will glorify Him” and after ministry was able to raise my two hands in praise and worship to the Lord and realised I did not have the same pain from my rib and breastbone.   So holding Christine’s hand we had a very gentle dance to the Lord.
After the meeting I again walked over the Parade Ground without requiring my stick and as we came to the stairs just inside the accommodation block I said to Christine “Before I leave here tomorrow I am going to climb these stairs” - saw the look of horror on her face at the very thought of it, and before she could stop me, decided that instead of waiting until tomorrow I may as well do it now.   What a Faithful God we serve.   He not only took me up but He safely brought me back down again - which took a lot more faith on my part.
On the Sunday morning I knew God was continuing His plan for my healing as I praised and worshipped Him in song and dance independent of my stick.
But to me, the most wonderful thing of all was the spiritual healing I received during the time of Communion.   The awareness of the depth of His Love and the freedom and Restoration He began in me that Sunday is still continuing today.
Oh how grateful I am to The Almighty God, to Pastor Hazel and to the two unknown ladies who passed on their conference tickets.
Finally, I want to share that in the previous October I had been admitted to the Coronary Care Unit with a heart disorder and  had to return for tests the Tuesday after the conference.   A week later my GP phoned me to say the Consultant did not know what had happened to my previous tests but these last tests indicated I did not have a heart disorder.   On the 28th August further tests confirmed this.
All honour and glory goes to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!
